Walkie-talkies and other devices exploded suddenly Wednesday at the site of a funeral for three Hezbollah members and a child killed by exploding pagers the day before. Lebanon’s health ministry says at least nine people were killed and 300 were wounded.

Explosions went off in Beirut and multiple parts of Lebanon in an apparent second wave of detonations of electronic devices, officials said.

A Hezbollah official says walkie-talkies used by the group exploded as part of blasts heard across Beirut.

Lebanon was hit with a fresh wave of exploding telecommunications devices including walkie-talkies a day after 12 people were killed and thousands injured in a series of similar blasts.

Hezbollah’s Al Manar TV reported explosions in multiple areas of Lebanon, which it said were the result of walkie-talkies detonating.
